Weather Event 7/9 |

With forecasts for significant rain on Sunday, July 9, the Ellicott City community, as well career and volunteer staff at Station 2, spent a good part of the day preparing for any water-related situations that may arise. Precautions taken included county police clearing Main Street, businesses boarding up windows and placing sandbags in low-lying places, and the county's Office of Emergency Management activated part of their emergency operations center (EOC) to coordinate functions between various agencies. We would like to remind everyone to never drive, or walk, through swift or standing water - turn around, don't drown!
